
The MGFA has launched a Government Funding Initiative to support high-quality research in myasthenia gravis (MG). This program aims to keep promising MG research moving forward during a period of limited government funding.
Eligibility

Applications must have been submitted within the past 12 months to NIH or a similar agency abroad.

Proposals must have been reviewed and scored in the top 25% (or equivalent).

Submissions must remain in their original peer-reviewed form.

For-profit entities cannot apply but may collaborate as self-funded partners.

Career development and fellowship applications are not eligible.
Funding
-
Awards: $100,000–$500,000 per year for up to three years.

Indirect costs must not exceed 10%.

Funding begins January 15, 2026.
