AFM-TELETHON ANNUAL CALL FOR PROPOSALS: SCIENTIFIC AND MEDICAL RESEARCH PROJECTS

AFM‑Téléthon has launched its 2026 funding programs, with several opportunities open to international applicants, including Canadian researchers. These calls support innovative work in neuromuscular disease mechanisms, therapeutic development, and training.

The following programs are fully eligible for new applications from Canadian researchers and trainees who wish to remain in Canada:

  • Trampoline Grants: Supports early‑stage, high‑risk exploratory projects.
  • Research Grants: Funds mechanistic, translational, and therapeutic research in neuromuscular diseases.
  • Postdoctoral Fellowships: Supports postdoctoral researchers working in rare and neuromuscular disease research. Can be held at Canadian institutions.
