Myogenesis Discussion Group | “Role of the TAK1 signalling pathway in FAP in tissue remodeling.”
Myogenesis Discussion Group: A seminar series on skeletal, cardiac and smooth muscle research held on the last Monday of each month.
Speaker
Dr. Marine Theret | Research Associate, Rossi Lab, University of British Columbia.
Dr. Marine Theret is a research associate in The Rossi lab at the University of British Columbia, Vancouver, Canada. Over the past few years she has been focusing on the characterization of the immunomodulatory functions of tissue resident fibro-adipogenic progenitors and how they interact and regulates immune cell behaviours at steady state, after damage or in chronic condition such as in DMD. Particularly her work focuses on the TAK1-NF-kB signalling pathways and how its disfunction changes the inflammatory milieu, leading a delayed skeletal muscle repair.
Talk Title: Role of the TAK1 signalling pathway in FAP in tissue remodeling.
Following September’s spotlight talk, the group continues with two more upcoming expert-led sessions:
- October 27, 2025 (2–3 PM EST)
Samar Rizvi, Aurora Scientific – Industry Talk - November 24, 2025 (2–3 PM EST)
Dr. Jessica Braun, Fajardo Lab, Brock University
