Dr. Bridget Mulvany-Robbins

Bio:

Dr. Bridget Mulvany-Robbins completed an undergraduate degree in Neuroscience, followed by medical school and neurology residency at the University of Alberta. Throughout her residency, she became drawn to neuromuscular medicine for its variety, nuanced clinical assessments, and rapidly evolving landscape. She is excited to join the University of British Columbia to complete her fellowship in Neuromuscular Medicine and Electromyography with support from the National Clinical Fellowship award.

Dr. Joaquín Machado

Training Institution: The Ottawa Hospital, ON

Bio:

Dr. Joaquín Machado graduated from the Faculty of Medicine, Universidad Nacional del Litoral, Argentina. He completed a residency in adult neurology at the Hospital Privado de Comunidad and a fellowship in neurophysiology and neuromuscular diseases at the Hospital Italiano de Buenos Aires. He then became part of the permanent staff of the FLENI Institute. Joaquín is currently completing a fellowship in neuromuscular diseases under the supervision of Dr. Ariel Breiner, at The Ottawa Hospital Civic Campus.

Dr. Zahra Aleisa square

Dr. Zahra Aleisa

Training Institution: Sick Kids Hospital

Bio:

Dr. Zahra Aleisa is a neuromuscular fellow at SickKids Hospital. She earned her medical degree from [university of Dammam in Saudi Arabia], completed her pediatric neurology residency in Saudi Arabia in 2020, and worked as a pediatric neurologist before beginning her Neuromuscular Fellowship in January 2024. Her research interests lie in understanding the molecular basis of neuromuscular disorders. Currently, she is working on developing clinical guidelines for neonatal neuromuscular care.
