Biography
Margo retired from an active and varied career as a registered nurse, including working in critical care and caring for the Inuit communities of Baffin Island. She finished her 26-year career as a clinical research nurse and clinical research associate.
Margo lives with myasthenia gravis, and as a patient-partner with NMD4C, brings combined knowledge and experience ‘from both sides’ of the health care and research system.
At the 2025 David Green Awards ceremony, Margo was recognized with the Leadership in Advocacy Award for advancing fair access to medicines for people living with myasthenia gravis, and for championing equity, inclusion, and patient voice in health policy and research.
