Dr. Marianne Nury completed her medical degree and residency in physiatry at Université Laval (Québec, QC). She then pursued advanced training with two fellowships: the first in neuromuscular disorders and EMG at Western University (London, ON), where she developed her particular interest in ALS; and the second in myology at Sorbonne Université (Paris, FR), where she focused on research into myotonic dystrophy.
She now works as part of a multidisciplinary neuromuscular clinic in Québec, contributing to both patient care and collaborative rehabilitation strategies. Throughout her training and early career, Dr. Nury has been actively involved in medical education, curriculum development, and extracurricular initiatives. She has also participated in research efforts, including projects related to spinal muscular atrophy.
Driven by a deep commitment to patient well-being, her work is grounded in the goal of improving quality of life for individuals with complex neuromuscular conditions. With a strong desire to support patients in meaningful ways, Dr. Nury is dedicated to growing as a clinician and continuing to learn from both colleagues and those she cares for. She looks forward to deepening her expertise and contributing to future advances in neuromuscular care.
Dr. Marianne Nury is one of three recipients of the NMD4C, MDC, and CSCN 2022 Clinical Fellowship funding competition, which awarded national clinical fellowships in neuromuscular medicine and electromyography.
