Dr. Zahra Aleisa is a Neuromuscular Fellow at The Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids) in Toronto. She earned her medical degree from the University of Dammam in Saudi Arabia, completed her pediatric neurology residency in 2020, and subsequently worked as a pediatric neurologist before beginning her Neuromuscular Fellowship in January 2024.
Her clinical and academic interests focus on the genetic and molecular basis of neuromuscular disorders and advancing treatments through gene therapy clinical trials. She is currently leading the development of a clinical pathway for neonatal neuromuscular care.

On September 11th, 2025, Dr. Zahra was recognized as a Chief Neuromuscular Fellow.
