Jaryeon is a MSc student, under the supervision of Dr. Anthony Scimè in York University’s Stem cell research group and affiliated with the Muscle Health Research Center. Her project looks at different factors that affect muscle stem cell behaviour and muscular regenerative capacity. Factors under current investigation include high fat diet, sex-differences, and retinoblastoma-like protein 1. With the little time she has outside of the lab, you can find Jaryeon golfing, reading, listening to jazz and playing the piano.
