Nela Martic is the Neurology Research Manager at BC Children’s Hospital in Vancouver. With over 15 years of experience in clinical research, she has developed expertise in clinical trial start-ups, budget development, project management, and quality assurance. Her passion for project management and quality systems led her to complete certifications in both trial monitoring and project management, which she has used to implement new SOPs and organize learning sessions for research staff.

Nela finds great fulfillment in working with families—especially children—whom she considers the most rewarding part of her day. She is deeply grateful to be part of their healthcare journeys and believes in the impact her team makes in improving patients’ lives.

Over the years, she has collaborated with outstanding health professionals and leaders in Neurology, managing trials in areas such as epilepsy, neuromuscular disorders, and Angelman Syndrome. Outside of work, Nela enjoys attending and volunteering at Neurology-related events and fundraisers.
