The 2026 MDF and MDC Regional Conference will be in Montréal, Canada!

The Myotonic Dystrophy Foundation (MDF) and Muscular Dystrophy Canada (MDC) invite you to the Regional Conference in Montréal, Canada, on May 30, 2026! This one-day, in person conference, held in partnership with the Muscular Dystrophy Canada (MDC), will offer a robust program built for the DM community. The agenda will feature sessions from DM experts, updates about DM research, community panel discussions, and even a dance party!

  • This event takes place in Montreal right after the International Myotonic Dystrophy Consortium (IDMC-15) meeting, which is a scientific conference for DM professionals in Saguenay, Canada.
  • The Montreal Regional Conference will be held in English, with select activities listed below taking place in French:
    • DM Overview Session: A presentation on disease overview, symptom management, and accessing specialty care within the Canadian healthcare system
    • Community Discussion Panel featuring community members sharing their lived experiences
    • Stump the Doctor: 1-hour session where attendees can ask their burning questions to leading DM experts
    • JOA Track which will feature small-group activities conducted in both English and French with a bilingual facilitator French captions for all English-language sessions
  • At the same time, MDC will host a French-language Patient Day in Saguenay as part of IDMC-15.
  • All Regional Conferences will be in-person only events. Registration is $20 USD pp.
