Dr. Jessica Braun is currently a CIHR Banting-funded postdoctoral fellow in the
Sylow lab at the University of Copenhagen where she is investigating novel
molecular targets linked to mitonuclear balance and how they influence muscle
health. Her PhD was completed at Brock University where she investigated
calcium handling and its influence on different disease states. Specifically, her
work focused on characterizing a novel SERCA regulator, neuronatin, and its role
in muscle health and function.
