- Dr. Jean Mah: Vamorolone: A novel treatment for Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD)
Learning Objectives:
- Review DMD pathophysiology
- Summarize current glucocorticoid treatment approaches in DMD
- Present data on vamorolone for treatment of DMD
- Identify key endocrine complications of long-term glucocorticoid therapy, with emphasis on adrenal suppression, osteoporosis, growth, and weight gain.
