TREAT‑NMD has announced a new date for its Myotonic Dystrophy Type 1 Expert Masterclass, which will now take place virtually on 19 November 2026. The previously scheduled 10 April 2026 session will no longer go ahead.

Aimed at healthcare professionals involved in the diagnosis and care of individuals with DM1, the masterclass will feature international experts covering communication with families, clinical presentations, physiotherapy approaches and other key aspects of DM1 management.

What to expect

• A high‑quality, interactive learning opportunity for healthcare professionals involved in diagnosing or managing Myotonic Dystrophy Type 1, with updates on current diagnostic pathways and internationally recognised standards of care.
• A chance to hear directly from patients and patient representatives about the lived experience of Myotonic Dystrophy Type 1.
• A forum for participants to exchange ideas, challenges and best practices to support optimal DM1 care.
