Dr. Angela Russell completed undergraduate degrees in Nursing and Health Sciences, followed by a Master of Nursing degree and Post-Master’s Nurse Practitioner diploma. She practiced as a Registered Nurse and Nurse Practitioner for 14 years in clinical neurosciences before pursuing a career in medicine.
Dr. Russell completed her medical degree and residency in Adult Neurology at the University of Calgary. She has a longstanding passion for neuromuscular neurology and has contributed meaningfully to the field in various clinical, academic, research and leadership roles over the course of her career. She will complete the Clinical Neuromuscular and EMG Fellowship Program at the University of Calgary with support from the national clinical fellowship award.
