Biography
Dr. Lisa Marie Langevin is a career researcher and health innovation advocate with a background spanning preclinical neurodevelopmental genetics, evidence-informed child and youth mental health treatment, and the integration of research and clinical care for individuals with mild traumatic brain injury. Since completing her PhD. in Neuroscience at the University of Calgary, Dr. Langevin has worked to develop strategic, patient-oriented research initiatives grounded in meaningful collaboration with healthcare systems, patients and families. Building upon community and multi-sector partnerships, she has led the implementation of regulatory frameworks, developed national training and engagement models, and supported the creation and growth of new cross-disciplinary research networks across Canada.
In her new role as Program Manager of the Canadian Neuromuscular Disease Registry (CNDR), Dr. Langevin leverages this diverse expertise, working alongside many regional and national organizations and partners to bridge science and strategy, advance evidence-informed solutions that influence healthcare policy, optimize service delivery, and promote transformative system innovations to improve outcomes for individuals and families impacted by neuromuscular conditions.
