2027 NMD4C Awards Now Open!
We are happy to announce our that our 2027 NMD4C Awards are now open!
Our annual award program provides three categories of awards, celebrating excellence and contribution to the neuromuscular field by early career neuromuscular investigators across both clinical and basic science streams.
These awards recognize outstanding achievement by early career neuromuscular researchers and clinicians, with recipients receiving a tangible accolade to bolster their academic CVs in pursuit of future academic appointments and grant applications. This award program is a part of the network’s broader strategy to provide support for Canadian early-career neuromuscular investigators.
The three categories included in the 2027 competition are:
- Early Career Biomedical Researcher of the Year
- Early Career Clinical Researcher of the Year
- Publication of the Year

NMD4C and RARE.Qc are pleased to announce the 2027 NMD4C–RARE.Qc Basic Science Research Summer School, will take place May 12-14, 2027, at the Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières (UQTR). Deadline: Oct 14 2026 | We are happy to announce that applications for the 2027 Postdoctoral Research Fellowship Funding Competition, in partnership with Muscular Dystrophy Canada, is now open. This annual funding competition awards salary support to early-career scientists in interested in advancing their postdoctoral studies in neuromuscular disease (NMD) research.
