Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists often work with clients with diverse needs and are eager to learn from experts and colleagues about effective strategies. This Knowledge Exchange Session provides a great opportunity to discuss challenges and successes, while connecting with peers across the country to strengthen our community and support each other.

We are excited to have Elie Fiogbe chairing a session on “Respiratory Therapy and Rehabilitation” The session will include a 25-minute presentation followed by a 20-minute discussion.

Topics covered will include:

1. The latest research on the pathophysiology of respiratory impairment in NMDs.
2. Updated epidemiological data and its clinical implications, particularly regarding the prevalence and progression of respiratory complications.
3. The effectiveness of established interventions, such as non-invasive ventilation and airway clearance techniques
