Clinical Trial Services

Our services for pharmaceutical sponsors, CROs, or those interested in conducting clinical trials in Canada:

Clinical Trial Visibility and Recruitment Support

Sponsors with neuromuscular studies recruiting in Canada gain visibility through our national clinical trial database. This service supports:

  • Patient recruitment enabling timely referral of eligible participants across trial sites, and via direct physician and patient access to trial information
  • Efficient site identification allowing sponsors to quickly identify potential sites based on disease-specific expertise and trial experience

Targeted Clinical Trial Notifications

Through our partnership with Muscular Dystrophy Canada, a national patient organization representing more than 200 different neuromuscular diseases, and the Canadian Neuromuscular Disease Registry (CNDR), a Canada-wide registry of people diagnosed with a neuromuscular disease, sponsors may request targeted notifications to potentially eligible participants for upcoming or actively recruiting trials.

Early Clinical Site Engagement through an Umbrella Confidential Disclosure Agreement Framework

NMD4C offers an umbrella Confidential Disclosure Agreement (CDA) framework designed to facilitate early engagement with investigators and trial sites. This approach enables secure information sharing at the outset of trial planning, supports early buy-in, and streamlines initial connections — without the need for repeated, site-specific contract negotiations.

Connections to Established Investigators and Trial Sites

We actively connect sponsors with a national network of experienced principal investigators and high-performing neuromuscular clinical trial centres. These connections support:

  • Faster feasibility assessments
  • Informed site selection
  • Improved trial execution and outcomes

Clinical Trial Readiness Support

Recognizing Canada’s geography, we support equitable access to clinical trials by enabling participation from sites across different regions.

Through our clinical trial personnel community of practice, we provide peer-to-peer mentorship and clinical trial team support. Our mission is to help ensure trial readiness, protocol adherence, and high-quality trial delivery across diverse care settings.
