The Neuromuscular Disease Network for Canada

In 2023, several neuromuscular conferences will take place in Canada, hosted by both Canadian and international organizations. These in-person conferences will provide training opportunities, clinical and research updates, and networking opportunities for neuromuscular clinicians and researchers from around the world.

The Canadian Neurological Sciences Federation Congress, the Annual NMD4C Meeting, the Ottawa International Conference on Neuromuscular Disease and Biology, and the World Federation of Neurology’s World Congress of Neurology will all be held in Canada this year.

Canadian Neurological Sciences Federation (CNSF) Congress 2023

Date: June 6 – 9, 2023

Location: Banff, Alberta

Deadlines: Early bird registration: May 4th, 2023

This annual Canadian Congress with four days of accredited scientific courses to assist CNSF members, and others community members with learning and CME opportunities across a variety of neuroscience disciplines.

Annual NMD4C Meeting

Date: September 7th, 2023 (one day before the Ottawa International Conference on Neuromuscular Disease and Biology)

Location: Ottawa, Ontario

This one-day in-person meeting is an opportunity for our network investigators, researchers, clinicians, trainees, and patient partners to foster collaboration, showcase our progress, discuss emerging topics, and set our priorities going forward.

6th Ottawa International Conference on Neuromuscular Disease and Biology

Date: September 7-9, 2023

Location: Ottawa, Ontario

Deadlines: Abstract Submission Deadline: June 30th, 2023

The Ottawa International Conference on Neuromuscular Disease and Biology (Ottawa NMD 2023) will feature top international basic and clinical neuromuscular researchers highlighting advances in neuromuscular disease research and clinical care, including novel diagnostic techniques, disease pathogenesis, basic muscle and stem cell biology, and promising therapies to treat these devastating disorders. Sessions will be organized to include basic, translational and clinical presentations to engage all attendees, regardless of background or training.

World Federation of Neurology’s 26th World Congress of Neurology (WCN 2023)

Date: October 15-19, 2023

Location: Montreal, Quebec

Deadlines: Abstract submission: April 5th, 2023

The WCN 2023 is hosted by the World Federation of Neurology and co-hosted by the Canadian Neurological Sciences Federation (CNSF) for 2023. WCN 2023 provides updates in the broad field of neurology, from tropical neurology to molecular genetics.
