For the first time, the Neuromuscular Disease Network for Canada (NMD4C) in partnership with The network to advance research on rare diseases in Quebec (RARE.Qc) will be hosting the 2027 NMD4C–RARE.Qc Basic Science Research Summer School, on May 12-14, 2027, at the Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières (UQTR), led by Dr. Jean-Philippe Leduc-Gaudet.
The annual Summer School combines lecture-based learning, hands-on workshops, trainee presentations, patient-partner engagement, and networking opportunities with leading researchers from across Canada. The 2027 program will focus on inflammation and assessment of mitochondrial function, while also covering emerging methodologies relevant to rare and neuromuscular diseases.
